Hello! I am looking at a auction for a 1966 Grand Seiko, but the picture of the inside of the case-back has me confused. Here is the outside... And this is shown for the inside?? My confusion is about why Seiko would being using French Stainless Steel for the case-back of this 1966 Grand Seiko, and what that number stamped on the inside might be about? It looks out of place to me. What do you think? I have emailed the seller last night but I have not seen a response yet. - Thomas

Someone pointed out the outside picture of the back shows it is a screw-off type, but you see no threads on the inside picture, so yes, it must be incorrect. A good observation!
That is almost reassuring, if it is that far off, I can't see the seller thinking it would fool someone.
Probably just an honest mistake, reusing previous posting text and such.

Plus Seiko never gave the inside of their Case Back the beautiful Cote de Geneve or whatever it is called. That seems quite Swiss to me.

That's "perlage".
But yeah, it's the wrong caseback.
