Bell-Matic's often have two band variations. e.g. the 6031 came with a Stelux Rolex style president or a coffin link. They were aimed at the mid tier business man, so I guess they figured he would want a choice. It may also be something to do with the market they went to. The 6060 came on a crappy fishbone (they all seem to have broken) or a "armour" style Stelux bracelet. well i see so many different bands and they can get confusing to what they all fit...i have a 1970 Bellmatic i am trying to gather the parts for ...and i think it should have one of three bands i have seen on original watches...both look like coffin links...but one is much larger than the other one and the last one is all together different...are any of these right for a 4006 7001?...i can not find literature from 70...any help will so be appreciated....God Bless John    |

John, this is a photo from the 1970 Seiko Catalogue.  My 1969 version and a better view of the bracelet, the above photo dosn't really show the striation in the centre links.  |

I have both the coffin link and the one some call "snake skin" or mini-coffin.
I find them both very comfortable. I prefer the larger linked version myself.
