I recently picked up a GWM5610, and really like it. I'm now feeling the need, to add another to the collection. Question is, what's next? Do I got with another old skool model, or perhaps one of the analog/digital models? For some reason

Maybe the ProTrek series? Cool ABC watches (Altimeter, Barometer, Compass). The PRW-3000 is my favorite in this series....it's solar/atomic....and has the brightest backlight I've ever seen on a Casio watch. Also check out the PAG-240 and the PRW-2500. In G-Shock land you might consider a GW-6900....solar/atomic....very affordable...and utterly reliable....you can pick these up for around $80.00 or so. For a more analog look check out the "Aviation" series....GW-A1000, GW-A3000, and GW-A4000...all are solar/atomic: If you really want to go for it then check out the new PRW-6000.....a very cool analog/digital...I've had my eye on one of these since they came out....a bit pricey though.

Definitely some nice choices there, I like the look of the PRW6000.

Tsk, tsk, tsk!!!! Temp me not!!! Oh, what's the use. That GWM5610 that Tim keeps waving in front of my eyes has me slobbering right now. Maybe I will consider it as a birthday present to me.

Do I got with another old skool model, or perhaps one of the analog/digital models? For some reason I've got probably 20 or so G's stashed around, these are the one that get the most wear due to functionality, comfort, or I just plain like it. Of course YMMV, but just a few more ideas for you. "Rescue" Mudman (actually I have one in black that I wear most, this camo one is a little hard to come by so I don't wear it much) THE Casio DW-5200 This is the one I wear most at work (physical job) An all time fave, the titanium, rust-resist Gulfman. I got this one years ago to wear on the frequent trips down to the (heavily salinated) Texas coast. This has been dunked and pounded in the Gulf of Mexico (by way of South Padre Island) surf many times. Also has been witness to many fish being cranked in. While usually not a fan of reverse-display, I couldn't resist this one when it was clearanced at Costco many years ago And just to throw an ana-digi in the mix, I even wear this goofy thing sometime. have a black one also. Coincidentally enough, I was at my brother's house last night, we were poking around in his garage and I saw an old abused G shock hanging on his pegboard wall. It was missing half its band. It was a (classic) DW-6600. He said he found it at a gas station, it was working until the battery died, and asked if I wanted it. Cleaning it up and putting a new battery in it today. Already have the other half of the band for it.

I too have recently developed a taste for G-Shocks. I suggest a triple sensor GW-9400 Rangeman. I really like the GWF-1000 Frogman too, but it's too big for me. I might also go for a GW-5000 some time. The older models from the 90s are great too, but replacement bezels are almost impossible to find. I have an old DW-5600EB-2V, which had a purple/blue bezel. One trip to the gym with it after 15 years and the bezel crumbled to bits. I was tempted to pick up a DW-6300 original Frogman but decided not to since it wouldn't be practical to wear it.

My only G now...the older Masters of G series Mudman in yellow. I used to collect the Masters series but my ageing eyes stopped me from gathering more older Gs. SteveO has the newer Mudman and it is very nice! The readouts are larger and darker on that model.... Also had the DW6600 which he got! That is a classic for toughness bought by many service guys , EMS, firemen, police. The DW6900 is its replacement.

For some reason, I think I might want to get something white. Sounds strange to me, but I've seen them in the wild...and thought they looked kinda cool. I guess it really all depends upon what you wear with it.

That DW6300 was the only Frogman with a screwdown back, so I found one and sold it to a collector haha! I had the popular yellow Froggie but it was too big for my small wrist too....

And, here's a Q&d of the 6600, just snapped. And yes, this is cleaned up. I should have taken a "before" pic. Some unknown soul has already pre-abused this one for me. Back into battle she goes. Now, my G's are all pretty low budget, but my next G may be what I consider a crazy-money Casio, one of the newer Master of G Gulfman, the GWN-1000. wornandwound.com/2014/03/31/introducing-casio-g-shock-gulfman-gpw-1000/Hmmmm.... yellow or blue.....

I only have one G Shock, but I'm finding that I really like it , despite the fact that it ain't a Seiko and it ain't vintage ! One of my favourite authors is Eoin Colfer, who's "Artemis Fowl" audio books are listened to over and over again, uses the term "Mudman" to refer to human beings. So, that's next on the list. Sad obsessed old fart !

OK, OK, I'll play too. I've had this GW2000 for a few years now. It's one of the few all analog Gs. And for quite a while it was my only G. A few months ago Trandy showed one of his Gs, a DW6600, I believe, with a blacked out bezel and bull bars. I found a DW6630 with a crumbling bezel and bought a strap and blacked out bezel before the watch arrived. It came with the bull bars. I tried to black the light button with a Sharpie. but it is wearing off. I need to finish the removal.... Recently, I found a DW5600E on clearance at WalMart.
More to come, I'm sure.

Ok, now I'm thinking maybe a polo shirt with the collar turned up and perhaps a sweater draped around your neck and a pair of Sperry Top-Siders with no socks! You'd be a hit at the yacht club. Ah hell, I'm just jealous...I'm too old to be cool or a hipster. Truth be told, I like the red ones.

I had a GW5600-BCJ1 back in '08 when they were new. I bought it because of the factory bracelet, but never warmed up to the reverse display. Sold it to a buddy of mine. I kinda want another now...

If you want another G, consider the DW5030 anniversary edition. It has the throw back looks of the original and a full steel case with screw back caseback, The watch has some weight, unlike all the modern plastic G's. Also, the good part is that Casio redesigned the 5030 steel case so shrouds and straps from plastic models interchange. Here is mine: Here is picture of the case and back (taken from the web):
