I've been hunched over a desk for the last two days working on another project. I'm hoping to be able to do these in quantity. here's a shot - It actually works. Now for some Panadol for the back pain.

Hey Tristan,
Sorry I haven't got back to your PM yet.
This first prototype is cast from rigid polyurethane. The next one I do may be from rigid epoxy, which has a lot higher shore rating.
In the future I hope to do the indicator rings themselves, although you'll probably only get them in black. I'm touring a pad printing company on thursday and hopefully they say "yep we can do that" for the index around the ring.
Here's a video of the gear in action -

What a great outcome. It's amazing that you can print something that small with such accuracy. This will make MANY Seiko enthusiasts VERY happy!

At the risk of seeming ignorant...what is it? My first and best guess is the gear for a 6139 internal rotating ring. EDIT: Just noticed the video. Duh.

Spectacular ! I considered myself quite lucky to get my recent 6139-6005 with no crown and have it arrive with the spring and gear still lodged in place on the broken stem.
This will cure many a Seiko 6139- in need of TLC.
Charge what you need to properly compensate yourself for the time on the project and the special expertise you have combining vintage Seiko repairs with 3D printing. Let that be the fair market value. You deserve it !
