In an effort to sell a watch of mine the buyer has agreed to purchase providing that the following problem is fixed (witch I will take care of as promised) but I wanted to ask...........how important is it to you........... The chapter ring is off by one small mark............would this be deal breaker to you if it were not corrected? Other then that the watch is or will be 100% OEM?

I do not see it in the picture, but the alignment of the index ring and the hands is an important indication with vintage watches.

It looks to be off by 2 minutes.
Hopefully the dial tab is still there.
It is a 2 minute job to fix if you have a case back opener and a toothpick.

Re: OEM
The bezel insert may or may not be OEM, but that pip is definitely aftermarket/homebrew. The hands look like they may be more rounded than expected, but it's hard to say.
I can't tell much from the picture - I'm more a 6105 guy.
Re: Chapter ring
It all comes down to price point. Anything not 100% perfect about the watch should get priced in, and pricing it in may drive the price below what the seller wants, which is a de-facto deal breaker.

Chapter ring off by two minutes, not a big deal if you're comfortable opening the watch and taking out the crown and movement.

As previously mentioned, hopefully the dial tab is still in place...that is what lines it up properly. Also, as I previously stated, unless you changed the crystal since I handled it, the one it has now is AM.

For me, as long as the chapter ring is not damaged and the dial tab isn't bent, I can fix it myself so it's not a problem.

The dial is wrong for the caseback The Suwa dial should have a caseback with "Japan A" engraving
Your caseback belongs to a 1984 Non-Suwa model that should have a Hong Kong dial

Lets "assume" the dial tab is missing ..........can it still be put back properly into place and how? As to the crystal not being the correct one ........that is going to be solved as the person doing the work for me (a knowledgable Forum member here) has the correct crystal and will install it for me!

Why are you not consulting with, the "knowledgeable forum member" who is doing the work? Seems to me, they will know the extent of the damage, when they swap the crystal for you?

The bezel insert is suspect. Also, the misaligned rehaut is probably hiding a bent or broken "tab" on the dial. Caveat emptor!
