I do love my unveilings, but some of you are just going to get angry with me. I am not hoarding for any evil reasons, I just love this watch, and when a chance came up to get another one in beautiful condition at a reasonable price... :-)
Friday I received a huge box from France. I mean really big for one watch!
I believe this is my first purchase from a Frenchman, he was a very passionate seller, but hey, he's from France! :-D

After removing some crumpled paper I see why the shipping box was so big, the watch box is huge!

I don't remember any of my other examples coming with this big of a gift box, but maybe I just forgot.

A very complete "kit" from the seller, the only thing I did not see was a hang tag. everything else is here, exactly as he described.

Oh no, the darn watch box is stuck!! :-( Can you reach up on your screen and use your finger to help me push it open please? ... Push! ... Push harder!!

There we go! Thank you! :-D
Yes, it is a 2010 Seiko SRP043K, known (and this is my fault) as the Spork.

Half diver and half pilot watch, a little too big, and with only the 4R15 non-hacking and non-hand winding movement. A bit "busy" as well, with the minute marks on the chapter ring and bezel.
But I liked it the more I looked at it, the more I realized how legible it was, and I heard how superior was its lume, and eventually I bought one and it became my favorite modern "tool" watch.

Here is the crown side.
This example is in beautiful condition, just as the seller described, with the only marks on the bracelet clasp.

The common side.

A shot for the "claspers".

And, in vintage watch style, a picture of the case back.

I added back a couple of links and threw it on. After wearing vintage Seikos for the last couple of months this thing is like wearing an aircraft carrier on my wrist!! :-D

I have customized one of my Sporks into a "Super Spork", using a 6R15 movement, a sapphire crystal and "Sinn-style" aftermarket second hand. I am told the movement swap requires some crown stem work, so it may require a Seiko specialized watchmaker.

I have stocked up on the parts to do a couple more, while the parts were available. I think this is how the watch should have been released in the first place. I mean if you are going to copy the Sinn 857, you might as well go all the way, eh?
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and are not too angry for me taking another one of these out of circulation. Thanks for looking in.
