After seeing Thomas's lovely SBBW005's I wanted one so I stayed up until 4:40am waiting for a very nice titanium example but lost out with a bid of $530. It went for $540. It would of been just too much after post and taxes to go higher. So after feeling gutted about missing out I agreed an offer of £350 on this .Not the watch I wanted but I do like this too. Land monster SNM035.

I have a affinity for the 7123's, so this one really caught my attention with a hard look at the incorrect bracelet. Sold...heh heh. Will be on one of my speedy's soon.
Very interesting . . . the bracelet looks very much like the bracelet for a 7A28-7049.

So I got two straps in the mail 18mm. Ones a Silicone Elite with quick release spring bars. I like it and for $20 a deal. Now i got a "Croco"-calf strap I was hopping would be a good replacement for the one on my Oris. Well it feels cheaper than the $28 I spent on it. I'm not sure if it need a break-in period or what, but I may return it before I give it a chance. Though I think they have a 1 year satisfaction guarantee so maybe I will. Need to check the details on that, but its on teh website. I will say that it was nice they offer still for the $20 a long and short strap for the silicone. Another neat thing is that the end of the strap has a hole that mates with a "lug" in the keeper to keep things tight. I was super impressed by the packing of the leather strap. Outer slip cover of heavy quality as well as the inner box. Padded inside. Again it was a nice touch.

Won this one for a decent price. SKX173 on a flat vent. Given the price I paid for it and how much I like my 007, I think I did alright.
Well, this one arrived in yesterday's mail. Boy am I a happy camper! The seller's pics shows a very nice watch but upon inspection, this one is REALLY nice! A thorough look with the naked eye revealed only one small mar on the non-crown side of the case! Other than that, the watch is perfect! Not a mark on the upper case brushing or the crystal. Even the back is pristine . . . this watch lived a very easy life so far. I seriously doubt it has been opened. Lume glows like a torch all night!
The serial number begins with 55 so I'm assuming it was a May 2015 build?
I'll try to post better pics over the weekend if time permits.
I did wear it for a while last night to check out the lume but I'm wearing my Stargate (LOVE this watch) so the 173 won't go on the wrist until Sunday but it will get at least a full week of wearing!

These are great watches, and I believe they deserve all the praise they get. I have been wearing my 'new' 2004 SK007 for the last couple weeks. I have owned an SKX...in one form or another...continuously for the last 15 years. But for some reason I am really fond of this recent acquisition. Must be that it was cheap!
Yours could be a '15...or it could be an '05. Does the case back have "A" or "WP" stamped on it? The former means '05, the latter means '15. Given it's condition I'd guess 2015?

I believe it is a 2015 build since the dial says Malaysia. Read something about this on another forum after a quick Google search.
I don't have the watch in hand so I can't check the case back right now but will check when I get home.
This one is my 2nd SKX. I also have and 007 and I really like that one a LOT!
I really like the dial on the 173 since it's a real throw back to the 6309-7290 and the 7002s.
I think I paid $125 for my 007 but this one was a bt more expensive but given the condition, I'm tickled pink over the condition of this one. I think I got a good deal.
Probably would have preferred a 399 but this one really scratches the itch.

OK, not a Seiko this time, but close. I've read about the unbeatable value of this watch for the price (titanium and sapphire), and...it just looks great! Do I need it? Definitely not. 😆

Not a Seiko... Weirdly...I got the same buzz tracking these down and then finding the NOS case as I used to with Seiko stuff. What's wrong with me... I think these look cool as tho. And ill make a very smart one with that case and bezel...probably gonna swap the hands out on the top one....might have to see if I can lume the gap without it being apparent...hopefully both dials will be great

Yeh but you can do the same magic on a Swiss marque as you do to a Seiko basket case.
Looking forward to the end results on this one 7dfe79adc2f0

Only issue is that the cases are chrome plated brass, Pete...so one has a fair amount of wear. The one with the faded crystal has turned up and has a very smart gold ETA 2783... The NOS case looks superb.... here are some more pics..

Well, my first mod "commission" is done and Duarte just emailed me some pictures. Should be in the mail shortly. New hand set and sapphire crystal for this one.

That looks good Russ. I had one of these in black on a bracelet and as stock it did not hit the mark for me, new hands and crystal should do the trick I think.

Aside from the cyclops, it was the OEM hands that kind of bothered me, particularly the red outline which made it look anemic plus it was black at the base which just made the junction at the pinion look goofy. I contemplated the black and/or blue versions but went with the Pepsi/PADI version because everytime I got an SKX009, I modded it! Having said that, I guess nothing has changed! The hands are Dagaz "Dagger Style" I believe. Great watch and perfect mid size.

I seem to have taken a liking to Devil's Divers (666 feet) and thanks to camrok, who passed on a BIN listing, I have another one the way.
