Ok Ok, chill people - I haven't decided to "not forgive" anyone Rod, just was pissed that someone almost immediately pulled out the "must be the victim's fault" schtick, especially with Jake's rep in the community. You notice my sig doesn't say anything about not getting pissed at someone else - that's a normal daily event for we frail humans. I would never claim not to have a temper. (rofl)I can forgive someone and still think they're a jerk, can't I? As it stands the whole thing is under investigation because the site was not supposed to be up for renewal until mid 2016. Which is why Jake said it had been hijacked. So my suspicions were correct. The same thing happened to us with our vintage feather site in 2010 (we had owned it for 15 years prior to that). Some mook decided to get cute and hijacked it from us. Eventually we got it back, but it was a hassle. I still think that the perp worked for the domain register that we were with at the time. So dirtbaggery was involved. Tim - I owe you an apology for losing my temper.

Take it easy fellas!
I believe we all agree that what happened was unfortunate, we also wish Jake gets back his domain name for the good of everybody and we also thank bobbymike for the heads up to what's going on and link to the alternate site. I for one appreciate it 'coz I had to buy a few things this morning...
Having just read all posts, I see no reason why the discussion has to head south.
Step back, relax, grab a cold one?

The not passed to TOF reads like this... NOTICE!! THE DOMAIN NAME CREATED BY NOAH FULLER,10watches.com WAS HIJACKED TODAY, MAY 17th BY SOMEONE CALLING THEMSELVES ""an unscrupulous party"" If that is the case, it very well may be a hack job. Jake is a very shrewd business man and I doubt he or his staff would have missed paying up on the domain. Peter, read the OP...it's a direct quote from Jake. It's not someone calling themselves "an unscruplous party", it is how Jake is referring to them. Either way, I hope everything gets straightened out. Not sure why he wouldn't try to retain his domain name, if it was indeed illegally taken from him. Jake's statement was pretty unambiguous so I don't know how you read what you did into it

Again, read the OP...your punctuation/explanation is just a bit off. Talk about not being sure, how someone read into something.

Below is the notice i received from Jake, please take note of the site to use for now. NOTICE!! THE DOMAIN NAME CREATED BY NOAH FULLER,10watches.com WAS HIJACKED TODAY, MAY 17th BY SOMEONE CALLING THEMSELVES ""an unscrupulous party"". WE HAVE PURCHASED A NEW DOMAIN NAME THAT WILL COME INTO EFFECT WITHIN 48hrs OR SO. ***UNTIL THEN, WE WILL REVERT TO OUR ORIGINAL SITE DOMAIN tempus-fugit.webs.com/ *** Any punctuation mistakes are not mine, although I did misspell 'not' which should have been 'note'. Jake's message is unambiguous as to who is calling themselves 'an unscrupulous party'.

If Jake forgot to pay the bill that is unfortunate as there are a lot of people who fall for those "make $500 a week working from home" scams or more likley "make 3 Rupees from home" who click links to raise the pay per click fees and steal expired domain names they come across.
If Jake truly got hacked after he had legitimately registered his domain name than that is truly wrong.

Well, if you want to put all your eggs in Tiger's basket, when it comes to the English language, and punctuation, you're in trouble. The quote in the OP, is direct from Jake. If you'd rather ride on Tiger's interpretation of said quote...that's your prerogative. FYI, here is Jake's actual quote he posted on Facebook.

I simple supplied what had been posted on another forum. I don't see why John would have changed the quote that Jake sent him; no reason to. That just means that Jake did not post the exact same message to everyone. Since this seems to be a bone of contention with you; I'll leave you to it. Hoping for the best for Jake going forward.

Yeah, because John has never embellished in the past. I'm done talking about it, hopefully everything gets sorted out.

Nanci Nette or ‘Name Management Group’ alleged owner of 10watches.com owns over 21,000 domain names. Looks like a re-seller to me.

I have no idea what's going on with this and can't follow the thread at all.
To me it's cut and dry, someone didn't pay their domain name renewal bill, from what I can see, or hasn't used a secure password on the domain key.
My hand is hovering over the lock button so we can move on. Any objections?

Everyone resolved their issues already, but thanks for stopping in and leaving a little extra victim blaming, it was starting to get dry around here. I actually came by to send along a notice that Jake just released; "NEW NOTICE!! I'M HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT OUR NEW DOMAIN NAME IS NOW VALID, UP & RUNNING AS www.dagazwatch.com I'M VERY SORRY & SADDENED THAT ONE MORE LITTLE PIECE OF NOAH WAS LOST ALONG WITH THE DOMAIN NAME HE CREATED, BUT I'M HAPPY THAT ALL WASN'T LOST AND WE CAN CARRY ON THE LEGACY. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT, ALL YOU GUYS & GALS OF THE ONLINE WATCH COMMUNITY." Toodles

I know 10watches was Noahs old domain but I think dagazwatch.com is an infinitely better choice for a company called Dagaz Watch Ltd.
