The weekend is here, hurray! I'm wearing a Zelos Helmsman Bronze. It has got a Miyota heart, so I guess it's half-Japanese?

Here's a Q&D pic of the newly-acquired '70 6139-6030 that arrived from Japan yesterday. It was advertised by the seller as 'not running', but it ran all day yesterday at +12 seconds. Not too bad. We'll see how it does today. This one is not a 'safe queen' like my other -603x, so I threw some gaskets in it. I think it will get some wrist time.

A lovely old Junkers corrigated sheet aircraft flew over my house low level last year. Lovely old bird. I believe it belongs to Swiss Air or was original one of their aircraft. I'm presuming this is who the Junkers are referring too? I think the name attached to the air industry was last used in either 68 or 69 so I'm guessing this is just a style referrence to a by gone era? Nice I'd wear it and smile that's for certain.

That must have been something to see Tony. Those tri-motor warbird transports were pretty unique in their day. I'm always fascinated by the materials used be it corrugated metal, plywood, steel or linen. This model is the JU-52 with a tip of the hat to the real thing that flew over your place. This one is an automatic with an ETA movement. It's a tad small but I wear it once in a while because of the cool hands. By the way, since that plane was in Swiss markings, did it drop any chocolate bars on to your neighborhood? Better than paratroopers I reckon!

I find myself wearing this one more than I had planned to. I do need to find a more suitable strap for it though. Maybe rubber?

Bargain beater for work: This one for the evening. It is so difficult to photograph that I had to put it on upside down then rotate the photo

I'm just going to leave this one on since it doesn't need any adjusting...

Here in Hamburg, we still have one JU-52 flying tourists to get a look at the city from above. Very distinct sound! I hear it almost every day at work, as we are close to the elbe river and city center.
