Soooooooo, there I was, minding me own business, resigned to the fact that my watch collecting days were if not over then at least on hold . Nothing has really grabbed me for a while and essential financial commitments over the next few months mean that new watches (which TBH I really don't need ) might have to be done without. Then Creation Watches posted this: www.creationwatches.com/watchblog/reviews/citizen-stealth-bv1085-31e-the-art-of-hiding-in-style.html on my Facebook timeline. As I liked the look of it and being tight careful with my money, I did what I always do and tried to see if I could find it cheaper elsewhere. The results were surprising. Creation: Listed at £209 but selling at £97 E-bay: £70 - £175 + ridiculous amounts for postage as they were all overseas. Amazon: £107 or $ equivalent as they were on Amazon US Watch Shop: £134 (UK) H Samuel: Listed at £149 reduced to £73.99 inc postage (+ got £3 cash back through a cash back site - every little helps ) Bought the last one they had in stock !!

Of course, "to each his own", "whatever floats your boat", etc., but that one would never work for my old eyes.

List prices come from "The List". And it's quite apparent that "The List" prices become muddled in translation. That watch isn't for me...

That watch isn't for me... That's OK, I guess it's a "Marmite " watch. You either love it or hate it. I like the sub seconds, it gives it a retro look and I do like a bit of retro I also have 28 days to return it if I hate it.

List prices come from the magical place of imagination and wonder...

This has all just become academic as I've just had an email to say that they don't have the watch in stock.

"List price", my humble interpretation:
"This is the price we'd like to get for it (in our wildest dreams) but being 'shrewd businesspersons' we realize we'll likely end up selling it for far less."
