So I read the review in the thread that our esteemed member "iwaddell" posted a couple of days ago....it was the long overdue review of the Seiko SKX007 by Worn and Wound. This review forced me into action....but don't call me impulsive! Behold! I just received it a few minutes ago...what a great watch...especially for the money...this one's a keeper! Couple of quick photos....the rain is starting....more detailed pics after the ensuing thunderstorm.

Congrats on the SKX007. I've just taken mine off, so that means a different watch for tomorrow. Enjoy, what has to be Seikos best workhorse.

Just out of curiosity. What type of box did you get with it. I have a thing about watch boxes, sad I know. This is what mine came in. But i've seen different boxes for the SKX007K.

Thanks for the box pics. Now, I am jealous... Different regions, different boxes. Wonder what box they are using for them at the Seiko Dealer here in Helsinki... Might have to just pay full price for an SKX009K as they didn't have any SKX011 edit: Forgot to add my blue Seiko warrenty card and instruction manual in my pic. Used my wifes SKX031 to show the blue side as same as mine. And yes. I still have the blue plastic case back stickers kept within the instruction books.

Congrats on the great SKX007! Going by the packaging, did you get yours from Rakuten?

An excellent buy! I'm going to upgrade the one you sold me to a 7s36; it's easier than stripping the date change stuff from another one I hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I do mine

Great watch! You will not be disappointed. It definitely has an attraction to it and I bet you get compliments on it from a wide variety of persons. In fact, I like it more than many of the more expensive divers. Seems to have the right amount of open space on the dial. I have mine on rubber, relatively stiff but comfortable.

Congrats. I have owned a few SKX007's but never wore one stock and as soon as they came in they went out to be MOD'd. I did wear the crap out of my SKX007 dress diver built from the left over parts. The SKX007 has been growing on me over the years but since I already have an SKX173 that was my first Seiko diver (besides a broken 7548 I bought on Ebay for $26 before that) I keep passing on one. The reason I went for the SKX173 over the SKX007 back in 2002 was because the 007 looked the same as the broken 7548 and I was not aware at the time that the 173 was a rip off of the 6309 and 7002.

Your 007's have nice BOXES?!
The one's from Creation or SkyWatches come in a white generic Seiko box. But I don't really have a problem with that, they just take up unnecessary space anyway! But good for you guys who are into the whole kit - those look like proper Seiko boxes.
trandy, good decision to get an 007. Every watch box should have space for at least one.

Congrats . . . . definitely a future classic, along the lines of the 6309-704X! Definitely a great watch. I do love mine! Bought it for a buck and a quarter used with no box and it's performed extremely well over the years. I'm not a huge fan of the jubilee so I put mine on a president.

I can deal with the Jubilee...they work fine for me....but I am thinking about an Oyster.

The 007 on a jubilee works for me, but an oyster is definitely a great option.

What about the SKX399 and 401? What is the 6105 a rip off of? These are not rip offs; they are ancestral lineage models
