With all the recent clamoring about the SKX007, it brings up a question...
What is the one (or more) watch, that you really want, but have put off purchasing for no good reason? For me, it is indeed the SKX007. It's not expensive, I really like it...and want it...so why do I not own one?
So, what say you...What is the watch you want, have the cash for...but have put off pulling the trigger on?

I wanted the SKX007 and when it came along at a price I could live with, I grabbed it! No regrets. Now if a nice SKX173 would come along I'd be in watch heaven

For me it's the Glycine Airman base 22. I adore that watch.

Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch: Sinn 657...the watch that inspired the Seiko Spork: The Omega just seems like such a grail to me.....it's almost like if I go ahead and buy one then the fun of the "wanting" it will be over....and I'd be disappointed. Pretty crazy, eh? Looks like they're going used in the 2K to 3K range depending on condition. I want the Sinn 657 because of the Spork connection...not in spite of it....and they're fairly affordable in the used market. I've seen them in the $900.00 to $1100.00 range.

I wore a Speedmaster last month, and there is something about that watch that is magical. Everyone seems to want one, and I really understand why.

Every watch I want that is obtainable price and supply wise I used to buy and then I always seemed to be disappointed with it or it gets parked in the box after the novelty or the thrill of the hunt is over. That is why I continually pass on readily available watches no matter how much I like them or tell myself I would wear the crap out of it. I have enough of those sitting around already.
And even the few that are unobtainable supply wise that I had been hunting for many years when they do come up I have to think long and hard if I should go for it and if I am willing to go all in price wise.
So I guess the 2 watches I would accept as a gift would be a Spork or a Stargate.

Watch that I want and have the cash for but haven't bought yet?
Here's a shortlist - Tuna SBBN017 a military themed EcoDrive one G-Shock Tissot PRS516 Omega Dynamic Chronograph Glycine Airman SST Chrono an SDGZ013...
But I know exactly why I'm not buying any of those above .... I am preparing and hoping for a grail to pop up one of these days.
. . .
There's a much much longer list of watches I can't afford though

For me I guess it would be any new watch. I have a self imposed only buy broken watches rule, then I can justify the spending as a hobby and not just buying trinkets I don't really need.

I know they have their detractors....but I like Sumo's looks-wise....I do wish the lugs were 22mm though....that alone has probably stopped me from getting one so far. Just can't make up my mind between blue and black...the blue would be a risk for me since I don't have any "blue" watches....the black is almost a no-brainer....that's "if" I can get over the 20mm lugs hurdle.
