Came across this today on Reddit. I've not seen a solid gold SEIKO before, always plated or gold filled or some other surface deposit, but not solid. Now I want one. This would have cost a fortune. A cursory image search brought up some more images of this model -

There were very early GS models in eal gold cases along with the Quartz Astron. I had a 14K Seiko 7800 quartz from 1979. All of the rest were nugget style cases and bands that jewelers made and used Seiko dials and movements removed from base metal cases.

Good point Josh. Gotta be sure they were true Seiko issues. As a huge fan of the 7005 series, I claim first dibs on any solid gold cased watches that come up for sale

That's interesting to know. Must be pretty expensive. Is the bracelet gold also?

That's interesting to know. Must be pretty expensive. Is the bracelet gold also? The bracelet looks like an aftermarket Rolex replacement (but most likely 14K or 18K gold) with the endlinks fabbed up by a jeweler or goldsmith. Notice how the bracelet is wider than the watch and the endlink has a sharp angled taper to it on one side. If you wanted the full Jersey Shore D-Bag kit you could get a bracelet sans watch for your other wrist
