I have been the last weeks with two watches. I have bought a seiko 6139 7002, it was non working. (it makes noises when you move, was the seller's description) when it arrives, I opened the case and it was the automatic brige whitout screws and all loose inside. then I dissasembly all the movement, to clean and oil the movement, I found the screws, one in the escapement wheel and the other under the cronograph bridge. Once cleaned. The case was polished, after cleaning I brushed as should, the crystal was wrong and I take from the watch it was donor for next project. and after rebuild. this crystal is not original,it's a stenrkreuz and is higher than original, and with a new bracelet The other Project. I seen Stefan had spares to rebuild a 6138 8010. I bought the spares and also a cristal and crown, but the crystal that arrives was wrong. this is the donor, for hands, movement (kanji calendar),crystal gasket and pushers the right crystal arrives after dissasembly the movement, clean ,oil , clean the case and polish a little ( it was plenty of little dings), paint little things on the dial and rebuild all. Hands of course are not original to this model, but are similar, if someday I can find it ,and the minute and hour crono are short aswell, but for the moment I'm happy to have this, so difficult watch

But over all it look great and at least you can use it now. You did good and now just some adjustments for it and it be original again. Very nice and much good effort ....jeroni0 Louis

Looking good. This one you pictured almost looks too nice to part out.

Looking good. This one you pictured almost looks too nice to part out. I Know, this one is in good shape, of course it's possible to rebuild again, but the 6138 8010 is the most difficult to find, the day I will find the adecuate hands for the 8010, this one will back again.
