Listing no. 201362460507. I've seen a lot of terribly priced "restored" watches by this seller, but this one takes the cake. Sellers like this really annoy me.

I think one of those "artificially aged" SKX007 sold for over $500 a few months ago.
As to a completely stock still available new from Seiko for $600 is what is wrong with EBAY since they went to the no insertion fee policy. The searches are now clogged up with nothing but overpriced junk because there is no downside to deter sellers from doing this.
Now if this was a low serial number from the first month and year the SKX007 was released then you might have something there worth $600 to the right person.

What was the first year for the 007? They're claiming this is a "1980's" watch? EDIT: Never mind...I just found it...they didn't start making these until 1996.

...and this for a diver's watch that looks like they simply bought it new and say they had it "professionally restored to excellent condition!" - Yeah, professionally. By Seiko.

I emailed the seller with some info....we'll see what happens.
The seller may have just been a victim of some bad information.

I think that same seller operates under several names, all from LA, same background to many of the photos. Most of their items are polished to a high shine on every surface, even those which weren't polished originally. You won't see many brushed finishes in their auctions. They do some nice photos, if nothing else. I think they are targeting buyers who want shiny and sparkly, and don't care a bit about originality. I'm sure there are many buyers like this, and I hope they get much enjoyment from their purchases- they certainly paid enough money for the privilege. Maybe some will become more interested in acquiring watches which are closer to their original state. Some of them may eventually find their way here. I can't help but wonder if listings from sellers like this elevate the whole market to some extent. This is good for those who have a nice collection already, bad for those of us who don't. I personally would prefer if the old seikos and such would stay relatively affordable.

I received a response from the seller:
"Hello,
Thanks for your email and we apologize for the inconvenience. Yes correct there was a typo. Should be circa 1990’s, thank for making us aware of the typo. Hope to serve you one day soon and best regards.
Thank You,
Dara"
So....she changes the date on the description....but not the price...go figure.
