1952 Sturmanskie 15 jewel USSR Airforce only issue. I love the bomb with wings logo. This was the Soviet long range Bomber force logo which was the mainstay of the Russian Airforce during this time, that being the Cold War era. S(h)turmanskie (Штурманские ) watches were specially produced by the 1st MWF for Soviet Air Force (Военно-Воздушные Силы ) pilots and were never available for the open market. 15 jewel version was produced from 1949 to 1953. The 17 jewel version was produced from 1954 to approximately 1960. The 17 jewels version became famous as the first watch ever in space, worn by USSR cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin (April 12, 1961). It was due to this event that the 1st MWF was renamed to Poljot (Полет), which means Flight. Attachment Deleted

I'm out - as far as achieving 30/30 goes anyway. In the interest of wearing a different watch everyday and giving some watches that don't get as much attention as they deserve a run, here is my 6139 7070.

And what a beauty! Here's my entry, also one of 700 made: Seiko 7M45-6A10 from 1990. I think it was available with a white dial and golden trim, too. While it is on the Wikipedia site, I didn't get too much information about it. I read somewhere, that it was to commemorate 20 years of seiko quartz watches. It's got a lovely back, too: The seller's father really seemed interested to make it a "perpetuum nobile" - he had bought another bracelet and a replacement crystal. By the looks of it he never wore it, so it seems a bit overprepared. But I'm not complaining

I'm with C4L18R3 on this as mine is also a limited edition of 1. 7017 flyback chrono mod by Polly. It's taken me a 1 1/2 hrs to to get a picture without horrendous reflections. I've been wandering around with my phone and arm at all angles (going for the sympathy vote here . Thank goodness for unlimited free digital pictures.

Attachment DeletedBack to a Seiko today for the Limited Edition - and a Grand Seiko at that ! #655 of 700 pcs 10th Anniversary of Spring Drive. Pictures never seem to capture the full depth and beauty of the Tatami Mat dial. Note the GS Lion on the dial by the 2 o'clock marker symbolizing 10 minutes past the hour for the 10th Anniversary.

Click on pic to enlarge, the red arrow shows the GS Lion on the dial near the 2 o'clock marker.
Thanks Mr Jones for alerting me to the camera phone issues. Sounds like you are a whiz at these, I am a total novice and it always shows in my lousy photo quality.

It really is a beautiful dial, but I can't see a Lion on the 2 o'clock marker (you mean 2 o'clock, don't you?). You definitly need a better camera OR better/more light Your S5 cannot cope with all the detail if it has to push the noise reduction to the limit. All we get are smudged details

Tsunami from Dagaz 84/100 in the classic configuration. An absolute beast weight wise, and really well crafted with a 6R15 under the hood. Attachment Deleted

Yes the S5 camera is not so great but in this case I used 4X Zoom and held the phone farther from the dial. Came out nice.
