So I spent ages looking for a 6105. I asked Kingrat dozens & dozens of questions. He all showed sooo much patience with me! Finally, I found a 6106-8110 on ebay that he & I both liked. So I brought it. I poped it on a Waterbourne "Aussie" Nato & took it on holiday to Spain. Loved it! That when I got back I put it on the bookcase & rotated thought my other watches. Finally I got back to the 6105. I had it on a day then found out it was gaining 11 minutes a DAY!! Contacted my "Watch Guy" & he said it sounded as if it had been knocked or dropped. Now my kids all either are into watches or know better then to screw around with Dads watches. All I can think is maybe one of their friends saw it & thought "Cool watch" picked it up then dropped it, felt guilty & put it back on the bookcase. Anyway, sent it off to The watch wizard & he fixed it! He did tell me what he did but to tell the truth I wasn't paying attention past you 6105 is fine now . While it was away I decided it needed something a bit nicer then the Nato. That's when I saw Jimmy1963 was selling a Wjean Waffle. Not convinced I brought it & when the 6105 came back today I put it on. Well got to say.................IT ROCKS smiley-cool11 !! Really classic look. Proper "Apocalypse Now machine-gun!" Quick snap, sorry about the quality will take better tomorrow. So, I'm a happy Dad & I will put it in the draw when I'm not wearing it from now on. Wont be for a while coz its staying on my wrist for a week or two coz I have missed it. Honestly guys, is this not truly one of the best watches ever made? yes1.gif

That is one radical, awesome condition 6105, Dad! So much nicer then mine... And the Billy Jean waffle IS the way to go, got them on my 6105 and 62MAS as well.

Can't go wrong with three of my favourite poms collaborating together!
To answer your question: yep, it truly is, without a doubt!
Enjoy the hell out of it, and er... Don't drop it and then blame your kids friends again, eh?

Duncan, I've only ever worn rubber or nato straps since I joined the Army at 16 (I'm nearly 50 now) Guess that's why anything else feel a bit odd. The only thing that stops the 6105 from being my all time favourite is that so few off them are still truly watertight. My 6309 cushion almost has as much presents & is still an Iconic watch. But I can still dive it. One of these days I'm gona do the trip-lock thing on a 6105 (got a SKX031 Shawn Trip-locked, amazing) & I'll be a happy man till the day I die thunbsup.gif In fact, that's going to be my next watch gig!! Watch this space.....................

Great 6105 mate - these are such beautiful vintage divers - the case just makes the watch stand out just enough! i agree a watertight one is the dream... kind of why I'm waiting on the typhoon I guess... But the triplock sounds like a good way to go too - I may just join you in that mission.

More I think about it, better the idea appeals to me.

Glad I'm not the only one who isn't overly impressed with this strap. I think it looks good but with the large spacing between holes, I can't get it to fit my wrist well & think it's over priced for the quality. Personally think the buckle is too big as well. A superb looking example you've got there dad, I'm sure you'll get as much enjoyment out of it as I get from my 8000 model. The best looking diver Seiko ever made IMO. Good to hear kingrat taking on a consultancy role too. Enjoy it mate thunbsup.gif Great photos too !
