Geday, Based on the testing success of these gaskets they are available for sale. I really want to emphasise the appreciation I have for the guys that gave these a go and did the testing for me. Postage is free for WS members. These are a new product and are made from a very heavy duty synthetic fluoropolymer elastomer, otherwise known as "Viton". The advantages of Viton over standard natural nitrile/buna rubber are the following - - Better resistance to oxidants - Better resistance to acids and oils - Minimal deformation over time - Minimal deformation while compressed (meaning an improved "snug" fit on the crown tube) - Less mechanical wear over time - Brown colour for identification en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VitonBecause of this, Viton is an ideal and better material for crown gaskets. According to the paper specs, a Viton gasket should outlast the watch. These crown gaskets have been pressure tested a number of times in 6309 cases and passed every time. They are a proper metric gasket, so not loose and off-spec like the imperial ones floating around. These come with the Vintage Time Australia branding and are an exact replacement for the original SEIKO part.
