I know its a long shot but is there anyone here on the Forum (US preferably) who can take a watch band of my choosing and NOTCH it for me to fit this............. I can buy a Genuine stock replacement for it for about $37.00 which is fine except the reason I dont care for it is because the band is just too thick at the lug area and doesnt sit right with me.......never has!

The Wife bought it for me a long time ago as a B/day gift as she really liked the looks of it! It wasnt cheap at the time and it really is a nice watch but I just dont wear it much because I cant stand the band!

I have no problem in finding the band! It's just the BIG thick bulky part at the lug area I dis-like so much! It's VERY heavily padded in that area plus inside it has a plastic thingy of some sort inside that area making it even bulkier!

Not designed for easy strap changes.

(At least that's what I'd do.) (Might get a more knowledgeable response to your request if you could persuade Tim to move the thread to the "watch repair" section of the forum.)

I've do it before (for an older Seiko that had an integrated bracelet). You really need to have the watch available to get it right. You could always do it yourself by practicing first on some el cheapo straps from Walmart (or similar). I just used a brand new X Acto blade and colored the cut leather with some leather dye. You could also color the edge with a Magic Marker, esp. if the strap is black. If you were close to me I'd do it for you as it's super easy to do and you're a fellow Jarhead. Here's a couple of shots of the last strap I made A strap for my Enicar Seapearl

I found it interesting that the only time that a greeter checked my purchase while exiting Walmart was when I bought one of their cheapie watches to practice strap changes on.
