As some of you may be aware, I have just aquired a 6309 - 7040 Question one, Would you buy this for it ? I have tried my spare Jubilee Bracelet, and I really am not keen. Question Two, If I do buy it, how does it fit onto the Lugs, do the Fat Bars just go through the straight ends on the SM bracelet ? I only ask as I have seen some S.M. Bracelets that have different ends which the Fat Bars fit through. Thks in advance, Vyn.

Mesh is too blingy for my taste, I much prefer it on an oyster or Zulu. Another nice option is one of Larry's new waffle straps, or an original GL831.

I bought a 22 mm mesh for my SKX007 Mod and found it way too blingy. Just my humble opinion on my wrist.
I love Uncle Seiko/Larry's new waffle and he shows it mounted to a 6309 in his thread referenced above. That would be my vote.

Seeing as you asked.... I would not buy the mesh. It rarely looks good, especially when you have options like Oyster and Endmill.

I do like the waffle, I looked at them on another site, only they are from the States, and I am not a patient man, also, I can't find a decent Oyster to buy here in UK, they all look real crap

The reason I asked was, I have never had a mesh, I've had the others i.e. Oyster and Jubilees, and was just getting opinions, as I don't want to buy it and waste money.... i have that particular mesh bracelet on several of my big faced 70s watches. For the most part I love them BUT... sometimes the clasp slips while wearing and your watch could fall.
I'd go for a sturdier mesh bracelet.

Yeah, I did ask didn't I ? I've googled pics of Divers on Mesh and couldn't really decide.... sometimes they look good and sometimes they look OTT. Seeing as you asked.... I would not buy the mesh. It rarely looks good, especially when you have options like Oyster and Endmill.

I'm Shrewd AKA tight Mesh bracelets come in different finishes (obviously). Might want to shop in a B & M store to see which, if any, would suit your intended use.
I recently swapped a leather strap for a mesh bracelet on my wife's Casio solar. (With her function topped appearance.) The 1 7/8MM wide spring bars on the strap were too thick for the mesh, but 1.5MM wide spring bars accompanied the mesh and, of course, did fit.

I ordered my Super Oyster from Yobokies, Harold is good to deal with. I know some folks also like wjean's, and he gives WS discounts. I like to have a bracelet option, as well as rubber or Zulu.

Thk you very much for that info, I don't think i'll be buying that one then, it would really hack me off if I damaged my 6309 that way !! Thk you very much again i have that particular mesh bracelet on several of my big faced 70s watches. For the most part I love them BUT... sometimes the clasp slips while wearing and your watch could fall. I'd go for a sturdier mesh bracelet.
