I recently came across this nice cushion case diver that was twitching by Adina.
I originally considered swapping the movement to an ETA 28xx day date.
Nick talked me of of it and suggested it was a lot like the Heuer 1000 and to keep it original.
I had a spare ETA 536 movement and could have swapped it out easily, but.... Considering the headquarters of the watch company with repair shop was within 2 days post, I decided to send it to them.
I asked for a quote for a new Crystal, seal check and movement clean and service.
I received a call within 2 days of its arrival with a quote.
It was very reasonable especially considering there was a glass replacement and movement repair.
I received the watch back today. 1 day after it was payed for with everything I asked for and a pressure test.
I spoke to the repairer who was eager to discuss how the radioactive lume used on vintage watches often caused a film on the inside of the watch and how happy he was with the outcome of the service.
Here is the finished product. Although it doesn't look too different from start to finish its still a great result.
