So I broke down and started on a slippery slope on Japanese auctions. I stumbled upon a 6139-7012 at a exorbitant price and a little weird. it has some kanji script and a # on the outside on the case back and model and serial# on the inside of the case back. Never seen anything like this, can't translate the description. Anyone shed any light on this?

Find yourself a webpage that shows the Japanese Alphabet - you'll have to figure out which one is being used for the Captcha as they have several, Katakana, Hiragana, Kanji etc Then all you have to do is copy and paste the characters from the webpage into the Captcha text entry box, against the clock, so it might take a quite a few attempts.

Anyone use jauce? I've signed up but I haven't gone through with anything. Still a little weary of doing so.

I've used buyee.jp. Once I made my one purchase the transaction went very smoothly.

Yep I've used Jauce, it's quite simple and worked well - however by the time all the fees are added, plus possible customs and taxes etc, the final cost ends up a lot higher than your initial purchase price! Up to 50% on top!!!

I had the chance to get one pretty cheap ages ago, but nobody could figure out what it was and why it was so pricey (at the time).

Had a really good run with JAUCE and absolutely no issues, until the Australian dollar became the peso and it wasn't worth it anymore... Anyone use jauce? I've signed up but I haven't gone through with anything. Still a little weary of doing so.
