I am not a big fan of "gold tone" but this looks pretty cool, to me. I was thinking of bidding this up, six hours to go, but if one of you guys wants it, let me know! - Thomas

Bid it up, go for it !
I've got that same dial/tachy ring in a SS case and I am preparing to mount it onto a 2-tone Oyster/President style so as to bring out the Good Gold without the total Tony Soprano bling.

I passed on a dead mint NOS one a few months back and still hate myself.

Not a big fan of gold tone watches but that one does look good. I've been watching it just to see where it ends up. Good luck guys.

Looks like it may have been buggered about with to me though I am happy to be proven wrong.
Dial and dial ring are out of line appear not to be concentric with a gap between the same. Pushers look to be stainless steel. Crown does not look right.

And now that you mention it, I see what you mean about the dial and the gap to the chapter ring, that doesn't look right! Good eye! - Thomas

Either it is missing the movement ring, or at minimum the case spring is missing. Either way it doesn't bode well for its NOS status.

I'd say it's missing the retention spring at the back, or the ring entirely. And pushers are SS. Neither are huge issues if the piece is at the right price, it's a minter case/dial. Looks like it may have been buggered about with to me though I am happy to be proven wrong. Dial and dial ring are out of line appear not to be concentric with a gap between the same. Probably didn't align the tachymeter ring groove with the dial tab. Better hope that the dial tab hasn't been broken off.
