Just caught this add on eBay for a project Tuna. Just reading the add gives you a little insight into the frustration of repair! Item 181892603637 if your interested.

Thanks for sharing Cam. This guy must be gutted to have collected all these bits and pieces and then have to cut his losses. Will be interesting to see how much someone is willing to pay for a golden tuna case and a bunch of complementary parts.

It's nice to see an add that accurately describes something for what it is. Sometimes an accurate description will be the selling point of an add. I'm sure someone can work wonders on this piece.

Lol. I've got my project bucket full. It would be nice but I think I will sell my shrouded solar prospex field master and try and get one with a 7C46 or similar. I'd love a 7549 and you never know what booty (pirate treasure) is out there....

I reckon it could be salvaged to something wearable. There's ways of getting around that broken screw issue. If you can get it out you're all good. If it's stuffed the thread you could use a thread repair kit (they call them "helicoils" here), as you don't see it anyway.
The dial, I'd put on a fake one that is well done and be done with it, it's never going to be perfect anyway. The handset I think you could gank from a SKX diver, in silver, as that would go best with the rest of the watch.

Wish I had this much discipline. The amount of watches I have here in various states of disassembly....But dammit, you can prise them from my very alive and hoarding hands. Thanks for sharing Cam. This guy must be gutted to have collected all these bits and pieces and then have to cut his losses. Will be interesting to see how much someone is willing to pay for a golden tuna case and a bunch of complementary parts.

I might have to do a month trade for my 6105. Give me a chance to get it on my wrist and over the honeymoon period first.
