Started the day with this... Now changed over to this after popping into my local watch shop to get all gaskets replaced and new 1:1 crystal fitted. Some know that I've had the parts sitting for a long time to get fitted. Another momento from Jonathans great work in reproducing Seiko parts. Think I got the last of his D ring rubber gaskets for the push buttons. A great man always missed. While I was there I just couldn't help myself. Not bought anything new for a long time and this alarm clock just shouted out 'Buy ME!' It's loud and a nice blue light for the dial that self dims after pressing.

New arrival today, this very low production Speedmaster moonphase in WG: Wow, you're on a roll. I'm usually not a fan of LE Speedies but that one is exceptional.

New arrival today, this very low production Speedmaster moonphase in WG: Wow, you're on a roll. I'm usually not a fan of LE Speedies but that one is exceptional. Thanks. Totally agree about LE Speedies in general, and any commemorative signage would have been a dealbreaker. As it is, just the clean Speedmaster Professional text, with the date+moonphase complication, in a solid white gold case, with applied markers and a silver sunburst dial. One of about 285 made. The deal closer was that this watch was priced far below recent examples, due to missing the WG deployment clasp. I hate Omega's deployment system, and would have swapped a tang buckle/strap in anyway, so it was almost like a deal tailored for me. Here it is with the 3570.50, and the case back:

The basic 3570.50 Speedy, great watch to throw on for just about any purpose, and the WG Speedy for a special treat. I've had a 3570.50 for many years and can't imagine not owning one, and an Ed White that you've seen pics of (unfortunately still waiting to get in for service). I know you're on the lookout for an Ed White; that will make quite the trifecta of Speedies!
