Hello folks, still trying to catch up on my unveilings, to the detriment of my participation in the WRUW threads, I'm afraid. I am still taking my "one watch a day" wrist shots, so eventually I should be able to catch up on those, I hope!! Anyhow, one of the "big fish" here on Wrist Sushi posted a picture of his 1966 Seiko 6206-8010, in one the WRUW threads and I commented about how much I liked it. Oh look! A big padded envelope from Australia!?! And a battered eyeglass case inside! Obviously "vintage"! But sturdy protection too! Ahhh, that looks like a watch in there... Wow, imagine that, a 1966 Seiko 6206-8010. This is an 1966 (March) so it should be the 6206B movement. The 6206 is considered on of the most well known and most widely sold movements both within and outside of Japan, in various models and versions. I particularly like this design, as it is so "pure" and clean, with the thin cross-hair on the dial, repeated in the hour markers, with the logo, dial text, day and date displays compactly placed in a central band, leaving the entire rest of the dial unobstructed. The crown side... The other side. The forty-nine year old case-back. Rod said the strap is the original it looks like it! It has the original buckle too! And here it is on my wrist, with a grey sweatshirt I wore Sunday, I didn't realize how well the color went with the dial highlights! Okay, thank you for looking, I have more work to do, so off I go!! - Thomas P.S. Woohoo! nonkun0508 just accepted my offer for this 1965 6206-8010! A matching pair!!

That's a beauty Thomas!
I've always admired the day position on this model.

Very nice, had it been a '66, I would have snatched it up quickly.

It is a 66 isn't it? The first number on the caseback looks like a 6 to me.

I don't know where I got '65 from, in the very first PM Rod sent to solicit my money, he included a case-back shot that clearly showed the serial number starting with "6", so... :imok: I have edited the original post accordingly, in case some one stumbles onto it in the future. - Thomas
