With its unusual name, this hand winder with second setting from the 1960s is an interesting model that is not seen very often. In quality terms it sits in the middle - above the Homer and below the Chrono Master. All of these use versions of the base 02 (Homer) movement. There are some unique features to the Crystate, besides the name. First a unique font for the model is used on the dial & case back, second the movement finish is only found on these as far as I know, and third the Deluxe model has just one applied star on the dial (Citizen usually used 3 stars on their 'super' models) as well as a 22 jewelled movement. The Crystate, on original bracelet: Case back from a Deluxe version, showing production in July 1968: Movement (from the deluxe version) showing the finish: The Deluxe version - interesting (for a Citizen nerd like me anyway!) is that on these two examples the later style of dial code is found on the first one which is from 1969: The older style of case code here, from 1968: Stephen
