I was a bit excited to get this 70m diver last Friday. I received a replacement movement from Adrian today (many thanks for your work over the weekend) and after a quick Crystal polish and movement swap its up and running. I stuck a Tropic strap on it to test but it's cracked so it probably won't stay on for long unless there is a way to repair perishing rubber. It is a deceptively nice sized watch. I'm used to the 6309, 6105 size and upwards but this little wonder sits lightly and sweetly where it should. I thought I needed a new pip but turns that's ok too. Here are the before and after photos. Not much difference apart from the crystal and a working movement that a photo won't do justice. There is a small chance the original bracelet is going to turn up. The guy who sold it to me is the original owner and said he thinks it's around.

She's a beauty Cam. Congratulations. Those original bracelets never seem to come with the watches so good luck with that.

I know Tritto loves his and I love mine. I have an NOS bezel from Stefan on it.
I also have a spare in pieces with the original bezel.

There's a blue dialled one on eBay with two days to run and a current bid of $434 AUD (£205). These are certainly going up in price.

I passed on a black dialed one a while back at $55, because of 1) No bezel and 2) I thought the seller was a bit squirrely. It turns out that a bezel came up on the forum a couple of weeks later. I'd like to find a nice one, though....

Here's mine with an NOS Bezel from Stefan next to my 62MAS. The dial is so perfect it blows my mind, the hands are AM but I have the originals I just find them to take away from the rest of the perfection. I also added a larger OEM SEIKO crown to better mimic the appearance of the 62MAS diver, but again I have the original all set aside in case I just want to go back and pop it on. Normally I change the crown but I have so many of the 7005- stems I decided to go all NOS stem and crown. Bracelet is perfect match but I can't tell if it was truly original or not. Oddly it's one I am considering selling off because I just don't give it the due it justly deserves. As always, click on pic to enlarge.

Looking forward to meeting her  Will be in the company of her not to common brother 7005-8140 Merry christmas Really glad to get it to someone who will appreciate it in their collection. Look forward to your strap choice and impressions. Big shoutout to Adrian who sorted the movement. It runs probably better than it did when it was first purchased In the early 1970s.

No worries. It does...synthetic oils vs. old school mineral oils. Nice score and restoration! It's been awhile since I've followed these smaller divers and didn't realize they had risen in price so much. I have one of each flavor but my favorite is the white dial version........... Before replacing the incorrect hands

Nice set you have there Mr. Tom. I had a blue but sold it off, the color just wasn't to my liking, but boy do I like that white, too.
My black dial version is like-new but sadly has AM hands. The new bezel from Stefan makes it positively a stunner.
