I have been wanting one of the variations of this watch, but they all seemed too expensive for what you are getting, so I never could talk myself into one.
But I finally decided this particular variation was unique enough, with such limited availability, that it was worth the cost.
Of course, typical for the way I do these things, they were all sold out by the time I made my decision.
But I found one seller, who seemed a bit sketchy, but he said he had one left and his price was very good. Was it too good to be true? :-/ I spent almost two weeks traumatized by doubt, to the point that when I went to the FedEx office to get my package, I took a movie of me signing for it and opening it right on their counter, in case it was empty or contained a rock!
That's why one edge of this package looks a bit rough. This is a huge box, it completely overhangs my familiar watch studio place-mat!

I wish ShaggySeiko (Vincent S.) had packed this a little better, some crumpled newspaper or air pillows would have kept the watch box from sliding around in the FedEx box, and if there had been any puncture damage, there was no protection at all. As a result the outer sleeve is a little rub-worn.

Here is the box, fully liberated.

Here's a look at the end of the box!

Here I have opened the box, but, no watch to be seen!

There it is, the 2015 Seiko Limited Edition SBDX012 300m Marine Master.

This type of watch frightens me. I am not wealthy, and these are so expensive and (in a sense) so valuable in perfect condition, I am afraid of damaging it, but at the same time, I am buying it to wear, not put in a safe!! :imok:

Wow, talk about hang tags!! As I lifted the watch out of it's box, I was laughing at the number of hang tags this has. I'll be careful not to lose any of them!!

So here is a closer look. I "wasn't around" (not yet a WIS) for the 2000 SBDX003, and I figured this is only about US$800 more then the "plain" 300M Marine Masters, yet is so much more exclusive, I decided this was the one to buy.

Here is (in my opinion) the beautiful unblemished crown! (I *really* don't like the High-Beat Marine Masters. I don't like their hands, the weird crown marking and especially the hex-bolted end-links.)

The sexy sculpted plain side.

A picture for those strange "claspers" out there. (Sorry about the plastic!)

I played dress-up for my first wrist shots with this beauty, I think it looks pretty good!

Wow, I'm still in shock.
Thankfully I have some sub-$200 watches waiting for me to unveil, so that should pull me back to ground!
Thanks for looking in! I hope you liked the pictures!
