There's a job lot of watches listed that is probably causing a lot of interest amongst Aussie Seiko collectors today. Listed for $500AUD but after a number of attempts to contact the seller I finally got a response that he'd had a lot of interest and how much was I willing to pay? I'm not playing that game with an unknown seller in another state, but for arguments sake, what would you pay for this little collection? Attachments:

Seller offered to me for $890AUD despite having already agreed to sell to someone else. I elected not to cut the original purchaser's lunch at that point.

I like your ethics, it would have turned into a back and forth counter offering duel Would have been a sweet pick up though.

Well played, too bad your fine ethics got in the way of a good deal. The lower left gold dial Pogue has a proof dial, the lower right the Euro-only narrow middle bits, all 4 are proper bracelets. Tossing the center TV dial out of the equation, I'd have gone up to $$700 USD for it. That's $100 AUD more than he offered it to you. Again, I applaud your approach.

Well I hope the buyer got there to pick them up before the seller found someone else willing to pay more again.

Good for you for doing the right thing. I'd have paid that offer price in a second if no other seller had committed. No hesitation whatsoever.

When someone starts offering products that they've already committed to someone else I don't feel a lot of confidence that they'll treat me any better.
