Ok, I started out all divers, all the time...then came the modding phase ( that was short lived) then came quartz chronos of the 80's. Followed by a quick fascination with LCD specimens. Then came the 6139 phase... That has taken a good hold, the blue, the gold, the blue/ almost black. Another gold, another blue, resist, non resist...blah ,blah, you know the drill. i looked at the early proofs, with notched cases, I lusted after JDM Speedtimers with the sexy kanji days ( which makes a Japaneese watch so much more legitimate) So recently I took a punt on a good looking 6139-6030 on original bracelet. I was very surprised to win the auction on a bid which I thought was low and spent some time wondering if perhaps I bid only on the bracelet... It arrived yesterday and looks pretty good (pushers are stuck but that's an easy fix when I get the gaskets) One issue is the bracelet...it's a tad small, not sure what my options are. An extenderof some sort? What size? Try to find an extra link? Those can't be easy ro source, right? anyway, here come the pics. Rob

That's the issue with these bracelets. You cannot get extra links for them as far as I know. They normally have that sprung loaded extending clasp you some times see on speedtimers. Mine came with an additional clasp extender. I have small wrists but I don't like this bracelet style so I swapped mine out for a stelux bracelet I had kicking around.

Nice Speedtimer! I've always been intrigued with these beauties. The color and the dial all scream JDM which I am a big fan of. Once in Ginza in Tokyo I found a nice blue specimen. The sunburst electric blue dial was mesmerizing and looked really well with the orange outer minute track and second hands. Unfortunately, it was just waaaaay too expensive. Congrats on a great find at the 'price of a bracelet'

Congrats on a great find at the 'price of a bracelet' I would have greatly overpaid for the bracelet but I was fully prepared for this one to go almost double. Even with proxy fees and hefty shipping it was well worth it. ( shipping was worth it as well since the watch was in my hands in 4 days after the proxy received it) Rob

Rob I might have an extender I can send you. Leave it with me. I'll check through my bracelet stock. I'd say you can have the bracelet I have but it's the same short size they all seem to be and you cannot remove the links. Does yours have the sprung loaded clasp? Love that model btw. Great aren't they

Scubarob99, that is the exact dial I have on mine ! Most of the time the subdial seems to be in silver, whereas we have the gold subdial. Absolutely amazing in the flesh, pictures may not do it justice, but here is mine. It came on a leather strap so I tossed it on to a Stelux H-Link, like Tony/Cockroach did and it's great, but I am absolutely lusting to get it moved over to the proper JDM bracelet like you show.

Great aren't they You're a peach Tony, the clasp is a regular seiko 5 shorty...thinking of just swapping it for a longer clasp, but if the extender would work I'd love to keep the clasp it came with. whats the width on these? 16mm? Thanks, Rob

Speaking of these bracelets, does anyone have half of one? I have a broken one at present.
