Just what I love, case & case back 5139-7015, dial 6119, movement well worn 6309a floating in oil with the dial stuck on with contact adhesive, whatever way you go you still end up with a mongrel!

Gah, scrap it. I've got some jobs here right now that are assembled from quick grip (contact adhesive), some broken plastic, metal putty, superglue, rust and cardboard. They don't deserve to live. Sounds like it's time to dig out the pentobarbital.

Sounds like it's time to dig out the pentobarbital. It's OK I'm on enough Tramadol to kill the pain.

Hope it didn't cost you much. Bought a batch of 6 averaged out at about $20 each, so far 2 DOA. It is getting so difficult to find restorers that haven't been worked over and buggered up, then they get bid up beyond all reason, I was watching another batch of mixed breeds that went for over $230, OK it contained a couple of "Rolex" and a "Cartier" judging by the other items the seller sells I wouldn't like the chances of them being genuine, I didn't bid on that lot!
