Geday Max, These wear pretty well and in my opinion they are a better movement than the 6139. The 7017 is a true flyback chrono. I'd offer not more than 140AU as it's on an original bracelet, but the photos make it hard to see if there's any dial degradation. The piece needs a clean up but otherwise looks OK. They are not highly sought after but are a nice watch regardless. Don't hear too much on the forum because they are fairly uncommon, most of them were JDM only. The 70xx series chronos were made by Daini rather than the 61xx series Suwa. As with a lot of the Daini designs, about half of the watches are totally unremarkable and nobody wants them. They are a large-ish watch. size comparison -

Thanks again, Max

They are nice watches. The main downside to them, for me, is the difficulty in obtaining things like gaskets. I bought this one YEARS ago. It started life as a scruffy 7017-8000 that ran nicely and had a nice dial. I combined this with a NOS case I stumbled upon. I had to source generic gaskets that fit because the originals seem to be long gone. They take a Bullhead caseback gasket (and crystal), but the pusher and crown seals don't appear to be available anymore. Cool watches...VERY early '70s.

Hey Aaron, You can sub out the EJ0060B on the pushers for a DJ0060B. The EJ0060B is now gone as of about 2 years ago. I could still get them until 6 months ago. I can't get anything that's an equivalent. The DJ is a better gasket in my option, larger contact area and it's beefier. They are nice watches. 6106-8227 Rally. Here's some more info on them - forums.watchuseek.com/f281/collectors-guide-seiko-rally-sport-divers-194147.htmlIn my opinion some of the best non-chrono watches SEIKO ever made. The EJ0060B and DJ0060B are the same size, but have a different cross-section...as I am sure you know. I have subbed EJs with DJs for awhile now, mostly on '70s digitals, but I don't think this 7017 takes the EJ (edit: it does). The pusher gaskets on this model are much smaller than DJ0060Bs and the crown gasket is smaller and thinner than the DJ0160B. The first thing I did when I got this one is try to sub the DJs. The crown gasket is 0Z0130B (edit: I pulled the watch apart and it is an EJ), which I was able to order, but I could never even find a part number for the button gaskets. Do you have one? I spent years trying to find NOS pushers since I could not find gaskets. Finally, I got some NOS pushers from Adrian and the gaskets were hard as rocks. I tried the "Trans-X Soak" to no avail. I ordered some generic gaskets from a parts house here (after taking measurements of the hardened originals) and found some that work well.

Yeah the EJ is a "button" profile while the DJ are D shaped. On the pushers, are they EC0060's or EG0060's ? They are the other common ones and are smaller than the DJ and EJ, but have a similar hole size. I don't have any refs on the 7017-8000 besides an EJ on the crown and assumed they all are specced with the EJ as most of the Daini movements are and the other 7017's I've worked on have been. I have never seen a part number for them and am surprised that you haven't, either. The generic ones I found that work for the pushers on the 7017-8000 measure OD 1.70mm x ID 0.70mm x CS 0.70mm. Would they hold up to a 70m pressure test? I have no idea. But they fit, and seem to survive the "bottom of the sink for half an hour" test.
