Hello to all
I am new for the forum, in adult 40 years age from Helsinki, Finland.
Found here by finding Spencer Klein's youtube channel, from there to Worn&Wound interview and here I am. Nice to find watch maker who has heart for Seiko.
Really like Seiko, how they do their thing, in house movements, original TUNA, 6139/6138 chronograph, 7A28 7210 quartz movement/watch.
I study 2nd grade of micromechanics in Finnish watchmaking school. Got bitten by obvious watch fever last year november so I managed to stay out of watches all two and half months. Fell in love with Seiko 6139-7100 Helmet aka Darth Vader and search'd for my own ever since. First with little to no budget and now with bit savings.
Manage'd to swap non running swiss hand winding watch to franken Helmet that is in parts. Problem is that I dont know yet how to rebuild it or how to adjust it, so far I have only rebuild wall clock and serviced non running seiko5 that didn't run, just for learning. I would have to wait till end of 3rd grade to know how and still I would end up with frankenstein watch that has bad re production dial, wrong bracelet, wrong back of case, re production hands and so on.
So here I am, trying to find nice, original Helmet for good price.
Best regards Samuli
Oh and to add, have strong JDM car history with huge amount time spent in forums, behind the wheel and under the bonnet.

Terve Samuli! Welcome to the forum! Have quite a few friends in Tampere. Seems a lot of Finns are car guys...from formula to classic American to light, modified Japanese. Nice to have you here, be patient, you will find the watch you covet.

Thank you all for warm welcomes. I'm coming down after insane thriller of under 20 years old's ice hockey WC final (that we won). Welcome! I'd love to know more about your JDM cars. Myles First bit more special car was 1989 Mazda MX-5 that I got 1999, after it I had bit tired Toyota Corolla GT (AE86/Trueno/Levin) sedan model with no popup headlights, build by local TRD garage, super fun, easy to drive and drift. Then mistake buy that was fun, 1989 1.0 Mini. After Mini I got to fulfill teenage dreams and had three 944 Porsche's on row, first NA and two turbo's (first one had +375whp) and then I got into real RHD JDM, 1991 Eunos Roadster Mazdaspeed B-spec stage II (rare Mazdaspeed build MX-5) that was immaculated and dirt cheap. Imported it frok UK and ended (still is) trackday car. Sold it and got part ownership of 1992 Eunos Roadster that we build to real fully dedicated trackday car. It got sold to buy Westfield's, mine was 1.7 x-flow and after never meet your heroes I got my last Eunos Roadster that had Tuckin99 arches, wide SSR mesh wheels and lots of rare JDM parts. Sold it few years ago. I might get MX-5 in few years, will see. As you can see mainly my ethos has been great drivers cars and rather to drive slow car fast than fast car slow.
