Hi all, I have been collecting watches (mainly Swiss) for a while but only recently got the Seiko bug in a big way. As part of my bug hunting I am looking for Seiko 6139 movement watch from either 1970, 71, 72, 73 or 74 but preferably 72 as its my birth year. Ideally the watch should be in decent condition but with unpolished case. Willing to consider buying multiple watches to kick off my vintage Seiko collection so if anyone is selling a watch that fits the bill please PM. Thanks and regards, Chris

Welcome to WristSushi, Chris! Your request is better suited for the Buy/Sell/Trade forum, maybe you want to repeat it there.

There are a handful of very knowledgeable 6139 enthusiasts here so you will likely be receiving some PMs from them. We also have a couple of the best 6139 mechanics here as well

I can't remember a member from Gibraltar, a place I'd like to visit. Welcome you are in the right spot for tech. assistance and general camaraderie. Poke around the corners, there is a wealth of info here, not all beneficial to your health or wallet.

Thank you all for your welcoming comments. I'm already down the slippery slopes having purchased a 6139 Pogue and a 6138 John Player Special. I can't recall ever being so addicted to my Swiss watches as I appear to be to Vintage Seikos. I'm thinking a 72 UFO will be next. ?
