I sold a Garmin GPS watch on the 2nd of Nov 2016. Unfortunately the buyer lived in Brazil so it bumped my postage price up. The whole sale was for $47 and approx half went to shipping. By the end of Nov the parcel hadn't arrived. So I (the seller) contacted the buyer asking to contact me when it arrived. The buyer told me to be patient as Brazil post was very slow. I contacted him every few weeks and despite him saying no- I refunded him. And said if the watch ever arrives he can re-deposit the funds into my account. On Monday I contacted the post office to lodge a missing item as it had been 3 months. And on Wednesday my buyer contacted me via eBay and on another item to notify me it had arrived. He has promptly deposited money back into my account. And that's how potential conflicts can be resolved (rarely) By the way-it seems you can send email addresses via eBay messaging system now.

I recently had that happen. In spite of me insisting the seller wait to refund me; they did anyway. Parcel arrived three months late and I immediately repaid much to the seller's surprise!

By the way-it seems you can send email addresses via eBay messaging system now. Glad it worked out for you. You can message your email address and URL's as long as there are not other key words in the same message like Paypal or anything that could lead to a deal outside of Ebay.
