I've learned that while sometimes "no" means "Yes" ... sometimes it means NO!

Sometimes yes means no and sometimes no means yes, but maybe always means maybe.
Remember, 60% of the time it works every time!

Today I was able to reaffirm two empirical and irrefutable rules of life that have been cornerstones of my existence since childhood, I will share them with you now.
1. Somewhere there's a something for someone . . . and
2. Remember, wherever you go, there you are.
Learn it, know it, live it.

Today I have learnt that Lady FC has absolutely no idea how much I have spent on watches in the 10 months I have been collecting (seems longer). I inadvertently left my e-bay purchase page open and she saw that I'd spent £60 on the 6119 I bought on Saturday. She has been giving me a hard time about it and then she moaned that I had wasted £90 because I had bought the Sportsman at the trade fair for £30 (it was £35). If she knew how much I'd really spent, I would really be up Diarrhoea Creek with no means of propulsion. Actually I've learnt something else too. I may have to either change my user name or not refer to my good lady wife as Lady FC. We call my boss FC, which used to stand for the Fat Controller. Visit the Blue Room to find out why it now means something else.

Oh boy that's unfortunate, I do not need to visit the blue room to know that Refer to Mrs FC (EX.Mrs L) as her Ladyship and bow and scrape.

Today I learned that digging up Boysenberry plants to move elsewhere is a BITCH!! They dont have a large root ball at all but the main stem goes deep into the ground! When I finally got one out (I still have about 5 more to go) and tried to transplant it the damn thorns stuck to everything.......my hair, my clothes, my skin etc etc! To this..... I say screw it and when my gardener comes on Monday or Tuesday to do some trimming and planting for me of some larger plants I have I''ll let him deal with them!

Now you know why they are called 'brambles' Once they've invaded; it can be nearly impossible to get rid of them completely. Once you get some moved; you will have to maintain them each year...prune back to bare earth and they will come back stronger and more bountiful than ever.
