Bought one recently, but there don't seem to be many about - not loved? I know the Tag style bezel probably isn't that popular, but that put it in the price range I could afford, now wondering if it will be worth the cost of restoring, though I believe that the bezels from other model SKX's will fit it. Here is what I got, don't know if it is all original or a mash-up of AM parts- opinions?

Looks original. They are just a hideous 90's style look. Any of the other bezels will fit. Nick loves them. Bought one recently, but there don't seem to be many about - not loved? Yeh these are often given an SKX rotating ring and the combination of the dial and the normal diver look is great. The bezel on these is a little weird looking but not bad.
Yours looks good but I don't know much about these. I'd like one but it would be to stick a 007 rotating ring on it.

I like the dial more than the bezel, but I kept mine original and bought a new bezel for it after replacing the crystal. The case is the same as the one on the popular SKX divers (007/009/173) and even some Alpinists (SARB059 et al).
Crystal is the same, too - so get a SKX007 replacement crystal or even a sapphire that fits them and you've got a nice watch. Maybe brush up that bezel and fill the missing paint in the markers. Is it running within spec?

Thanks, didn't think it looked too bad, but I'm no expert, will decide on the bezel issue in the future.

Is it running within spec? Yes I have purchased a new crystal, the watch is running - slow, haven't done anything to it yet, collecting all the bit required, then give the movement a service and clean up the case, looks like these should have a brushed upper surface and polished sides? Going to polish up the bezel and repaint the markers, and have purchased a Z22 band to finish it off.
