The crystal is mineral glass. Replacements are available (Cousins sell them).
As for setting - yep, its not exactly intuitive!! I always have to get the manual out every time I have to do something. A google for "C300 Navihawk manual" will give you several sources.

Aloha Sir, Looks nice max and it can clean up good too. I had the same problem to set it and still have a problem some times. But now .... My blue Angels ... has a major problem I think. It sets and the digital works but the analog just wont work yet so probably have to get some parts for it. Maybe a new ....PCB board will do it but don't know exactly why it is like this yet. I tried ....Three of them and they all do the same thing. On the other watch a Navihawk , the digital works but only the ..... Minute hand works and not the .... Hour Hand.... . Maybe a Stripped gear on the front section so have to check it out. I have find out where I can get a drop in movement for it and just keep these as parts. Beside Citizens sending in, there has to be some one else that have them to order. Here it is a hard time to do these things so maybe I can get some one to get one for me and I just buy it from them. Anyway that is a nice one and hope you can fix it up nice for use. Aloha Louis

A google for "C300 Navihawk manual" will give you several sources. I haven't checked out Cousins yet, is it listed as a Citizen part or do you have to track down by size? I downloaded a Manual, just can't get the gist of how to set the analogue time. Unless you wore and used these things all the time you can never remember how to change settings, every time I have to set a digital I have to search the manual. Checked Cousins and found the Crystal, next question how do you remove the bezel? does it just pry off like a divers? and the inner bezel what about it? Would have to be removed to change the glass I guess.

You don’t need to remove the bezel to replace the crystal. These bezels are held in place by a metal wire which I haven’t sussed the technique for either removing or getting back on (easily and without the risk of damage). So, unless the bezel is very hard to turn, or gritty I’d leave it in place.

Try the "hand retract" function of the C300. This is a nifty little feature that allows you to move the analog hands out of the way to view the digital portions of the dial.
Press the top left pusher and hold it. Do the hands move around to 12:00? Do they move at all? If not then you might have a mechanical problem with the analog part of the movement.
If the hands move to a position other than 12:00 then they will need to be zeroed, and I think this is done either in "SET" mode or "CHRONO" mode with the 4 o'clock crown pulled out.

Aloha Sir, cobrajet ...... Question of interest : What it the actual part that is for the separation of the Analog from the Digital .... ? I know it is the ...PCB but is there anything else beside that , is it a coil ....? What make the Analog actually work in these....? I know when the Crown is out the Analog moves but right now it does not. Aloha Louis

Aloha Sir, Hi Max thanks I will try to find it. Do I have to make a account with them .....? Louis Hi Louis, Yes you need an account with either, I have an account with ST Supply but they have a minimum $200.00 for international orders so they are of little use to me. It is easy to open an account with CousinsUK and they have no order size restrictions, you can buy 1 item worth $2.00 and they will send, and their post charges are not too bad either.

Thanks for that siralan, have run into bezels with the retaining wire before and they can be a PIA, Do you just push the crystal out from inside through the bezels?

Tried the hand retract, hands moved but not to 12:00, tried All Reset and that didn't seem to have the required result either, a bit of a pain every thing seems to work in the digital section, and the analogue hands move but at a different time setting and I can't figure a way to make them go to the time I want. I am always doubtful about buying used quartz watches, and the more I pay for them the more problems they have, pay $2 - new battery and goes like a train Pay $100 and it needs a new movement!

I seem to have found the solution to my problem, thanks to a 2012 post on SCWF by Joe Horner, it gave instructions on how to zero all the hands, and from there I was able to get the time settings where I wanted them.
So it may not be broken, but I wish Citizen would make their instructions a little clearer, and how to zero the hands was not covered in the owners manual, the C300 repair guide or in the C310/320 manuals, just shows you have to keep searching until you find that snippet of information that cures your problem.
Thanks to all who contributed advice to this thread, your help is much appreciated.
