I like it, something a little bit different, the seller has a couple of interesting pieces as well as a heap of "Genuine" recycled Indian specials.
Seems to be the order of the day, several ebay sellers and a couple on gumtree who appear to only deal in ex Indian Seiko's, Citizen's and Orient - all genuine of course.

If Josh decides to get a spoon watch best make it a blokes version not the woman's type in the OP.

Yuck why would you bother? With the Indian crap I mean. I must be doing this wrong, I get bugger all for genuine vintage pieces. Maybe if I paste them in nail polish or something I'd get more. You and me both, I just sold two watches for break even value, just covered the original cost of the watch plus the parts I had to buy, just as well this is only a hobby for me, even if I only get back costs it allows me to buy more stock to work on, if I were doing it as a business - I would be doing something else! And finding watches, and I mean common run of the mill models, not collectors dreams, is becoming increasingly more difficult, everyone thinks their old clapped out watch is worth a fortune. And then you have to compete with the Indian resellers, and they sell them at a higher price than I can get, and if you read their feedback everyone is delighted with their genuine vintage watch. I can't imagine why anybody would be buying vintage watches if not for the historic value, I mean the common models, and an over polished case and a repainted dial don't have any historic value for me!

I've noticed that weird trend with AU sellers, not so much US/ROW. The deals for the less desirable stuff is on YJ now. I put an upper limit of $30AU on them and can buy a boxload of repairable watches very quickly. I'm talking old 7006's etc. I see a base 7N43 on gumtree for like 350AU, or a DIESEL watch for a few hundred...whaaa?? Yuck why would you bother? With the Indian crap I mean.
