Guess the most common nickname is pre arnie
The H556-5029. Did it originally come on a rubber starp or just the bracelet?

I think that only came on the bracelet as I have never seen an original image or NOS version on rubber. The very similar JDM models did come on a GL21A strap.  |

But other versions of the watch, the -5020s, came on straps. I always hated that nickname since the 'Arnie' and the H556 were sold side by side. Not that you invented it!  |

I might have just been thinking of the -5100s, like the ones you posted. Very understandable, if I had not been looking for the original query I would have just assumed that the -5020 was the JDM version and the -5029 the export one. It is surprising that the -5020 is for export markets and there does not seem to be a direct equivalent with the JDM Silverwave models having more text around the dial and the compass bezel. |

I have 2 of these one has a bracelet the other does not. Just trying to come up with a good strap that would stay with a Seiko look.

There are some 20mm Seiko "style" dive straps on eBay that work well on these.
