This is the first time I’ve worn this 555 Autodater. It’s the one with the rotary “jet” winder with a screw-in case back. Unfortunately my spare display case back, intended to show off the movement doesn’t fit! Not a GS VFA, but it does have nicely raised indices. The dial actually has a very fine co-centric pattern, which is lost in the photo. Regards, Ross

Seven hundred and seventy seven for dog walking and child cycling around the local lake before a big pub Sunday dinner. (Note to self: stay off eBay after wine consumption).

First day on the wrist for this 6117-6400 from 1970. It was an ebay purchase that I spotted early on in its listing - everyone pretended they'd not spotted it so it sat around the £30 mark for nearly a week and then the last few seconds saw some frenetic activity. I could see the dial print was still a lovely vivid red - many of these have faded badly so I decided to bid strong. It arrived on Friday and yesterday I gave it a full service and new crystal. the movement is pristine and its running very nicely.

Picked this one for the week. My Dad's Ti 7a28. Planned on switching it back to the original bracelet but got too darn busy. May try to find some time later this evening.
