Cool video Adrian. I’ve looked at these a few times, I love the shape of the minute counter hand Seiko went with. Must add one to my collection at some point, but like you said in the video they’re pretty useless these days!

Nice review.  I picked up one of these myself a couple years ago locally.  The fellow I bought it from was a Marine back in the 1970s, and used the 88 to time his PT training.  The 6105, which is of course what I was interested in, was purchased for him by his brother when he first entered the Corps.

Cost was $75 for the pair!  Hard to tell in the pic, but the stopwatch was missing it's crown (which is why it was retired).  I was able to source a NOS one from Jules Borel.

Mine works great, and is a pretty accurate timer.

Glad to see these and was very interested in others also.
I have these older ones that I have restored and a few more. I am always interested in other models also to see just
what they are and how they were made to work also.

I acquired a couple non-functioning Seikosha national railway watches a while back. It was nice to work with timepieces that were big for a change! Did you come across any decent sources for workable parts?

Hi,
Well I started to like these when I saw them and got a few that were ... Non Runners.
I went through all the motions to strip and get them cleaned and got successful with them
but when I inquired to get the ..Porcelain repaired they cost a lot to do them so I just left them 
like they were but they look nice how they are now and all work great.
I was amazed at what I paid for them because the Sellers were not interested in them 
but just to sell them.
    I always look for the ...Railway Ones but never had a chance to get them.
I never worked on these before getting these but tried to see if I could fix them and also because
I have ... Pocket Watch's also. I have a few now but would really get a ..... Railway Watch just for my
collection. If I could just get at least one of them I would be grateful for it.
  As far as parts there are a few ......... Website Collector Places to find some parts.
When seen on places like ....eBay I always miss them because the high bids that they have for them.

I got two, and managed to get one together into a potentially functional watch. But the balance is old and needs something. I'll look into parts. Thanks. I haven't played with them in a while but should make an effort to get one running.

Well may be someday one will get going again with better parts. As for me I never come across any of
them yet but still looking for one and even if it is a parts watch to start with.
    Depends which Model you have to find the correct parts for it I would say also.

Balance Staff's  ....... are the most bad worn parts with most ......Pocket Watch's and many older Wrist Watch's.
Most likely you need to have a ...... Staking Tool to repair them.
