Just had this guy arrive in the mail from Ukraine (along with a mildly surreal Soviet-era postcard ). Ticking away nicely and has got me wanting more Russian oddities.
Any other fans of these?

There are a few Russian watches I really like, although I've not acquired any yet. (It's always "yet" with us isn't it!). Your one looks striking, would like to see some more pics please.

I have always liked those, but I have bad luck with the Rooshians. I'd like to see more of it though.

Will snap a few more. In the meantime, search for 'Raketa big zero'. It's certainly one of the more distinctive of their designs. I also really like the Copernicus, but am yet to acquire one.

Couple more shots. I've been wearing this to work and it's been running well - almost inclined to believe the seller's 'serviced' description. I put a Longines leather strap I had about to replace the horrid "leather" strap it came with and it suits it I think.
The chip out of the back shows that it appears to be chrome covered brass. I think this is a common thing with Russian watches?

Back in the Soviet era when these watches were made; most would have been base metal with chrome plating.
These are a couple of older ones dating to around the time of Yuri Gagarin ...

Those are great! I actually quite like the chrome over base metal look - it reminds me of vintage cameras that have hard lives. Vietnam era Nikons and Leicas etc.

I have a Poljot Stadium. I don't wear it much though. It's a bit heavy.

I forgot about Rado...
