Some of you may remember my post in the "Coming in the post" thread of a batch I had bought, there were 14 watches in the batch, sadly mostly Ladies watches but mainly Seiko, Citizen and Pulsar, 10 of the watches are now up and running including this one, the main reason I bid on the batch a Seiko Arctura Kinetic 7L22. Not having had a Kinetic before I decided it was time to explore, half expecting a dog with terminal problems was pleasantly surprised, the watch is almost in unworn condition, I was expecting a dead capacitor but after waving it around like a demented cheerleader for about 15 min it fired up, one small problem when the crown was pulled out to set the time the stem came out, then would not go in and release the hacking mechanism. However with a bit of jiggling about with the release mechanism I seem to have got it sorted without having to strip the damn thing down. All in all not a bad pick up as the watches averaged out as $6.18 each, my wife has already put pincer on three of them, the rest are all for very small wrists, I did suggest that I get a skinny girlfriend, but that idea flew like a lead balloon. Enough of the words here are the pic's!!

Congratulations, nice catch and it looks like it is in very good condition.
I think that you may still have to replace the cap as these will often appear to work ok but just can not hold a charge for a few days.
The 7L22 is a nice movement and I like the mechanical feel to the pushers on these.

Yes I would not be surprised if the cap needed replacing, I expected it would, will see how it holds out after being worn for a few days. From the condition of the watch not even scuffing on the clasp I think it was one of those watches, worn for a few days then placed in a drawer and ignored, and when the time came that they wanted to wear it it was empty and thrown back in the drawer and forgotten. Do you know the production times of the 7L22 movements? This one has a 63xxx serial #, but every where I have checked for parts they are listed as obsolete. Yes the pusher feel is good, checking the service sheets I see they use hearts on the pinions to zero the hands which seem unusual on a quartz.

Capacitor should be easy to find. IIRC it’s the same capacitor as the ever popular 5M series.
