^^^ Agreed, A list needs to be made. Copy/Paste this reply with parts you have supplied. Thank You DAHASCO: 6309 Movement, Crown, Stem. Aquaman is donating the titanium nitride coating for case and other stainless bits. And the laser etching as well if we're going that route of an etched design in the caseback. Mike

Sorry been pretty busy... I'm glad to see we still want to move forward! Add me to the "list" for a SS shroud and case back sterilisation. I've still got a little work to do on the shroud. Big things happening at the shop.... Here is what I have in my possession: The thread has gotten a little messy. I'll try to take a minute tomorrow and put together a list and a summary of what we've got going on to tomorrow. Unless of course anyone else wants to step in 😉 ...to be continued

Producing a single project watch that represents the collective efforts and donations of forum members means a lot more than some stuff on a dial. I say sterilize that case back and if it ends up going to a forum member then maybe it can be engraved by a jeweler with something appropriate

This is worse than a TV show getting canceled. Excellent work everyone looking forward to the finished piece.

Where was it ever, really? Started with an OP firing up the crowd like Trump at a rally with no ownership. Plenty of willing participants. Guess it needs a leader, for the record I will not be participating.
It's the parable about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody:
There was a fun watch project that could be done.
Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job.
Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have.
Simply put it started off with no owner, no one took responsibility and so far nothing has been done.

Well, somebody donated a lot of parts to this project!
It all started to fall apart when somebody had issues with using Wrist Sushi on the dial
I guess it just never recovered after that
Live and learn.

I’m sure I speak for ‘everybody’...that it’s disappointing. But I hope somebody and nobody don’t feel victimized because of this thread. I’d like to see it revived even if it’s a bare bones dial with no markings.

So what happened to the dial again, I reread the threads...and don't see what happened. If I'm opening a wound, I don't mean to.

So what happened to the dial again, I reread the threads...and don't see what happened. If I'm opening a wound, I don't mean to. There was a question about using the WS logo. It seems to have killed the initiative of the OP. I didn't see it as a show stopper but it obviously turned off some folks.
In the end it seems to have stagnated with one or more participants in possession of a bunch of parts they don't know what to do with.
As HiBeat pointed out, nobody took control of the project so it withered and died.
I'm not bitter or upset, just disappointed that the project did not come to fruition after all the ideas thrown forth.
Hopefully, my own quartz diver project will produce something as I am in control of it

My two cents. Lets make this happen. I know it's not my place but I think it'll be awesome. Especially if the WS dial isn't just a one off thing. I know I want one and if we can make this a forum thing then why not?

Also, Hibeat, the little red hen reference or nod to was great. Screw everyone else. I wants some bread! Chris, it's a dead horse; continuing to beat it will not magically get it to arise and tick again

Chris, it's a dead horse; continuing to beat it will not magically get it to arise and tick again I guess that is what had me checking back in from time to time. I'd have loved to have a dial with the logo for one of my watches...I thought this would have turned into something...I'd have financially added to getting the dial done...
