I know that the question in the subject may seem weird, but these bracelets seem like they are kind of a badge reserved for service members who were stationed in the Philippines. I personally am reluctant to wear anything smacking of military service since I did not serve in any branch of the military, hence the question, but I would kind of dig a bracelet of this type.
So, am I being too uptight?
To be honest stuff like battlefield pickups and take homes are pretty much off limits for me. Though that’s not the question here

Aloha Sir, Hi Mike , Mike those Bracelets can be worn by Civilians if wanted. They can be ordered from Jaffe Jurado . I have seen many with them and they always say it was from a close Departed Relative Veteran so they use it. I still have a few of mine but had to extend the Clasp when I got older..... . Once you contact Jaffe's Website you can ask what they can do on them. As far as The Bracelet it can be ordered with Blank Bands also so it is worth the ordering of it. These come as ordered and can be ordered as you wish what you want on the Bracelet Band if Jaffe can do it. Hello Louis, I was hoping you’d comment. I wasn’t sure if active and vets see these as kind of a symbol of having been to Subic Bay and would be put off if others wear them. I guess they’re more of an ordinary local souvenir then.
A friend found one on a watch while diving off Palm Beach many years ago that I wish he had kept. I thought it was pretty cool and would like to have it remade, it had a hard diving helmet on one side and a pair of tanks on the other. Navy diver maybe?

Aloha Sir , Hi Mike , That was a good find and worth keeping. If it had a set of Tanks and a Hard Hat he probably was a Navy Diver and maybe also a Salvage Diver or UDT. During the Vietnam War in the 1960's and all through the early 1970's we were in Subic Bay for some time. There was also not far from there a place called ...Clark air Base. Eventually Clark was covered up with Volcanic Ash after the Military left it. Most of the people in the U.S. Military like to own ...... Jaffe's Jurado's Bracelet's and there was a lot of them too. While we we in Vietnam most guys did not use them because of the ... " Shine they had on them ". But after all that they would be seen on many a wrist from personal owners. I would say that if one wants to use them it would be OK and it displayed the Vietnam Era and what those in the Military that was there liked to have. They were very popular and looked great on so many different watch's and some were even just Bracelet Bands to have. Each Insignia displayed the wear's Military Branch of Position held. They can still be gotten when properly ordered yet. Hope this helps a little about these Bracelets.
Aloha Louis

Here is one of my favorites. Owned by a US Navy UDT team member responsible for retrieving the US Apollo Astronauts after splashdown.

So, I googled a bit and actually found an example like the one my dive buddy found. I may go ahead and have one like it made.
