Just saw an ad in a magazine that showed a Reissue of the Computron in gold. Looked cool and went searching the net. Of course one of the online blogs to watch thinks its straight out of the 80's??? Ad said it was issued in'76...Wish I had the dough to get one in gold, but the stainless with blue looks cool too, just not as cool. Looks like the black one will come with a rubber strap...MSRP reported at $395 for gold $295 for the others...Anyone else think these are cool? this one I took from Worn and Wound

Doesn't matter, there is no end link gap so Bond would reject it straight away

I think it's super cool, and in the 80 I would have sold my sister for one...my 50 year old self thinks I wouldn't give it enough Wrist time. love the blue display.

Mixed feelings to say the least....the retro vibe is kind of cool I suppose...but I have a feeling I’d wouldn’t wear it much.
I guess I might change my my mind if I saw one in person....that’s always the acid test for me.

It's pretty cool alright. Definitely not a strap monster. It reminds me of a SNL spoof commercial from way back, when they featured an LED watch that needed at least two sets of hands to depress the buttons just to tell the time, Wish I could find the clip.

I'm guessing from some of the spec's I have read technology has kept up too. Looks like 2 years for battery life. I have seen some LED from the era using two button cells and depending on how often you check the time you'd be lucky for a year...Holding off on other purchases for now until I see this one live, not sure why but its got its hook in me...at least for now...

I thought this might be an April Fool's thread so I googled it, sure enough, you speak truth !
I agree with Rob 50 back in the day this was a grail but I would not ever wear it so I guess I will leave this model to the rest of us.

Too futuristic for me! Quartz innovation was also an idea and design of the future.

It's definitely a conversation starter! With chicks at least?
If I'm gonna wear a Star Trek Star Fleet Command issued tricorder on my wrist, there better be a hot piece of tail coming on to me.

The Macy's near me has yet to have one while I was there. Looks too big for me, but again I figure I'll need to see it in the flesh....
