I think I'll start and see what follows. item#293061450463 $6500 for 35 watches half are in working order...Outside of 4 bullheads that may or may not run...and 2-6139's again that may pr may not, with crappy photos so no idea of originality there doesn't seem to be any other watches coming close to $150. Am I being too harsh? Anything in there that would even get this close to what the guys asking there is a make an offer option so their willing to negotiate? " 18 WATCHES ARE IN GOOD WORKING 07 ORIENT (RUNNING) 08 SEIKO BELL MATIC (NEED SERVICE) GOOD BALANCE 01 CITIZEN BULLHEAD NOT WORKING ( LOOK PICTURES) 01 TECHNOS ALARM RUNNING BUT NEED SERVICE (LOOK PICTURE"

Somethings funny about the 7009-3119 that's up again. Seller has low feedback, and is using the picture from the auction that was won but someone else by a seller that is someone else. Did the the buyer of the watch from the pawn shop back out and they relisted it under another account for $100 more than they sold it for????sketchy sketchy sketchy.
While I would love a stainless example for the NO$9 collection I'll hand on to the gold tone for now...

There are some in there I would really like to get my teeth into, but as you say that seems an ambitious price given the info provided.

From what I understand, that black 6139, 5th from the left in the top row is VERY rare and valuable.

Another for the what are they smoking this time the buyers...
Being a 7009 guy I have a couple of these in my stash, maybe not as nice but close. Its a pretty common reference with several different dial options this being just one of about 5 or so I have cataloged. I actually scored one more of the reference this week with a never noticed, by me, dial. It's a "J" rather than "9" but I can live with it I have some that are "A" "0" and "1" also???...This isn't even sporting the correct bracelet which at least on the 821A is a B16 -77-E- and B433 on the 8210...Bracelets look identical not sure again why there are two different numbers, on the End-Links? Note that another end-link number is different too, I just noticed...the 812"J" has B-17 -13-E??
Thanks for the consistency Seiko...Although regardless of color the dial codes look to be the same on many of the "9's" consistent but shouldn't be....
This is a very scary price for what I think it is...one of the bidders was in on the auction I won, pushing that bid higher then I'd have liked to pay, $50, but since that dial was unique and had the OEM bracelet, so I felt it necessary for the over all collection of 7009's, being a subset to the reference 821X.
I'm guess that guy just really wants one bad and isn't willing to wait..If he loses maybe I list one of those I have??? But probably not.

Wow $120.99, that guy really really wanted that watch...I know some of the more rare references or those from Bulgaria, Thailand and the UK, have brought north of $100 sometimes just south of $200 heck even a Petal Special has been close to $200 either suspect bidding or a guy got taken...This reference has sold for $125 w/a NATO and it just seems odd to me, as it really isn't all that uncommon...Maybe like the hodinkee-effect, their is a Klein-effect w/t MACVSOG watches LRRP guys wore because a guy that knew a guy knew a guy, that drive just about any RR dial into a higher price range.
Don't get me wrong there are some wicked rare Seiko's w/a 7009 and they will IMO deserve the prices they get because of that rarity, but something that you can almost always find listed...I have bid and been out bid on some that are in just too good to be true condition, but this wasn't one of those.

Here's another wow price for a 7009. I'd have never thought a 7009-8081 would ever get this high $162 w/shipping! Lunch money 9's are getting harder and harder to come by...Only a couple more to go I think. This was just a wow...$162 just incredible!

And yet another for the thread. Over $200 before shipping for a 7009? Nice case, great dial, no doubt clean as them come. There are only a handful 7009-3XX9 references out there, so I'm to sure how rare this guy was...That seems like a pretty strong price.
