We took the boys for a walk on the mountain this morning. Beautiful autumn weather.

This '96 C300 Navihawk arrived last week, but I was too sick with the stomach flu to do anything with it. Came on a pretty grotty nylon NATO-type strap, which went in the garbage. The Ebay seller said it had belonged to her husband, and I was surprised at how cheaply I got it considering what these often sell for nowadays. Pics were sorta blurry, so I didn't really know what I was buying. That may have helped keep other bidders away. Turns out it is near perfect.
I have an original bracelet for one of these...which turned out to be too short. I also have a used original strap...which fell apart the first time I tried to wear it. So I ordered a black leather Citizen strap that was a reasonable facsimile of the original, and swapped on the original buckle from the used strap. I think this watch came on a strap when new anyway. Turns out the buckle that came with the new strap was nearly identical to the one on the old strap save for being polished instead of brushed.
Watch fired right up with a new battery (which I also had to order), and all functions work perfectly. I was afraid it might have the infamous 'stuck in set mode' problem, like the last couple Navihawks I have bought, but it didn't. I thought these watches were EPIC cool when I bought one new in 1997, and I still do today! Ironically, I sold the one I bought new 22 years ago back in '05 for exactly what I paid for this one last week.

Aaron, that looks just like the one I got from Louis recently. He said that he had put a new movement in it not too long ago. I had a Blue Angels and a two-tone years ago, and let them go. I think this one is going to stay.
